Last night I ran a Google search on three Diabetes medications and two phrases related to Diabetes. I was shocked with the results, and so grateful. This little blog was either on the first or second page of the results. The first or second page! We have not done anything but provide what we hope is relevant content. You are finding us, taking a look and giving us a chance to serve you. Thank you so very much.
Being on the first or second page of a Google search was never a goal, just because we could never imagine it. Our goal was, and is, to provide a helpful, informative and uplifting site. And, that will continue to be our goal.
This blog was started about nine months ago – well, nine months on Monday, actually. It was started with the idea of bringing help and solutions for those living with Type 2 Diabetes. We know that sounds so grandiose, but we truly believed that Diabetes did not have to be a prison sentence to be endured; that if Diabetes is controlled, people can lead incredible lives. We still believe that today – but even more intently.
The only goal was to provide relevant content and we figured the rest would take care of itself. How did that work out? Really well if you believe Google search results.
Katherine, the pharmacist who has written about the medication, has done a wonderful job of providing important information. She knows the questions people ask about medication, so she can provide answers in her posts. Katherine, thank you for helping to make this blog so helpful for those with Diabetes.
Thank you for helping us get to this point. During the next few months I hope you will see improvements in the blog. Our hope is to get some guest writers – those who have Diabetes, or have a family member fighting the disease; people from different age groups; just anyone who might want to have a voice and has something constructive to share. If you are interested, please complete the contact form below. You can contribute one time, or several. We will experiment with the look of the blog, as well, and welcome comments.
We will continue to work to provide what we hope is some of the best content available on Diabetes. That’s our job for you, after all.
As always, thank you for reading.
Great work Phil!.. I hope one day my blog is just as popular as yours… 🙂
Shell,
Thank you, but I don’t know about the popularity. As you know, we don’t have thousands of followers, like some blogs have. I only hope to serve others and provide reliable information and encouragement. I truly believe that Diabetes can be controlled and that, as a result, lives can be better and healthier – look at what you have done!
Phil
🙂
