The Fortune Teller

Wouldn’t you like to know the future?  Just a bit of it?  Come on – admit it.  It’s okay.  You’re among friends.  Haven’t you wanted to visit the Hand Reader, The Tea Leaf Reader, or Crystal Ball Gazer?  Hasn’t that tent with the sweet scent of incense tempted you at the carnival?

Wait no more.  I can see the future.  Make predictions…No, I can tell you what will happen.  The future is no longer a mystery.  (Wait, shouldn’t I be charging you something for this incredible ability of mine?  No…no…I will resist all efforts of personal gain for using my gift.)

Last weekend I saw it.  Everywhere.  Every place I went I saw the same thing.  Drug companies will grow richer – buy stock in them.  False cures offered to the most needy.  Hucksters offering hope while taking money.  I saw these things as clearly as if I were watching an HDTV.

I saw the growth of Diabetes.  And, it doesn’t take a Crystal Ball to see it. Just look at the people around you and what do you see?  Folks who are over weight.  Folks who eat the wrong things – I am not sure I can call onion rings and french fries food.  I saw diets heavy on processed food and light on vegetables, fruits and grains.  I saw folks who do not do any kind of exercise.

I saw Prediabetics and Diabetics.  I saw myself before I was diagnosed.  I saw hundreds of people who can change their future, but sadly so few will do anything until it’s too late – and then most will do very little.

Do you have a friend?  One friend who you can shake and say, “Wake up! Do you really want to get Diabetes?”  Do you have one friend who you can save from becoming a Diabetic?  Look, we don’t need more of us; there needs to be fewer.  And if you can turn just one person away from Diabetes, you will be giving them on of the most valuable gifts you can possibly give.

Fight your War On Diabetes…and fight for just one more.  You CAN make the future I see not come to pass.

As always, thank you for reading.  Click on the links below for more.
