After my observations on mug sizes a couple of weeks ago, I started to reduce the amount of coffee I put in a cup. While the cup looks half full, or sometimes less, I have found that 8 oz. is just about right. Who would have thought, right?
The lesson? Don’t believe everything you are being told or sold. The portions we have are important in our battle with Diabetes. Control portions and you can control your glucose intake which controls your weight and you win your battle with Diabetes. Yeah, it’s a bit like the shin bone is connected to the knee bone, but it’s true.
If you have not started portion control, start with having a bit less coffee – you might find out like I have that it’s more than enough.
